At United Sports Abroad, our mission is to provide equal opportunities through sports for US Military service members and their families stationed abroad. Our “Opportunity Through Sports” initiatives are devoted to delivering transformative sports experiences to American military youth stationed abroad. Through thoughtfully designed programs, we aim to elevate athletic and life skills, instill core community values, and create lasting memories — empowering young military connected athletes well beyond the field.

Founded in 2024, United Sports Abroad is a non-profit initiative dedicated to enriching the lives of US Military youth stationed abroad through transformative sports experiences. Recognizing the unique challenges faced by families serving overseas, we are committed to fostering personal growth, development, and camaraderie among these resilient young athletes. By providing a platform for lifeskill enhancement, cultural exchange, and community building, we aim to provide equal opportunities through sports for US Military service members and their families stationed abroad.
JOHN BANKHEAD

Coach John Bankhead is a seasoned leader with over 20 years of experience in coaching, training, and developing elite athletes at the youth, high school, collegiate, and professional levels. As the founder of Bankhead Sports International, he was a trailblazer in speed and agility training in the Temecula Valley, helping countless athletes achieve their goals, secure college scholarships, and excel in their chosen sports.
Through his extensive career, Coach Bankhead has worked with athletes across all 50 states, as well as in Canada, Japan, and Guam. Over 300 collegiate and professional athletes have honed their skills through his programs, including NFL stars such as Drew Brees, Terrell Owens, Darren Sproles, Jeff Garcia, Mark Sanchez, and Tim Tebow. His philosophy, “Greatness is earned, not given. We will chase greatness every day, the Rancho Way!” reflects his commitment to excellence.
In 2019, Coach Bankhead founded United Sports Abroad, driven by a mission to share his expertise and create transformative opportunities for athletes worldwide. With a wealth of experience and a deep dedication to developing talent, he aims to inspire and empower athletes at every level, providing them with the tools and opportunities to succeed on and off the field. Coach Bankhead’s global impact continues to grow as he brings his vision and passion to athletes across the world.
GREYSON BANKHEAD

Greyson Bankhead is the Co-Founder and serves as the Chief Executive Officer of United Sports Abroad, where he channels his extensive experience and unwavering passion into the organization’s mission of providing transformative sports opportunities for U.S. military youth stationed overseas.
A former standout football player at the University of California, Berkeley, Greyson competed at the highest level of collegiate football while earning a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the #1 public university in the world. His time on and off the field instilled a deep understanding of the unifying, inspiring, and life-changing power of sports.
With firsthand experience of the impact sports can have on individuals and communities, Greyson is driven by a profound commitment to serving military families and empowering youth. Under his leadership, United Sports Abroad is dedicated to expanding access to sports programs that foster personal growth, camaraderie, and resilience for young athletes stationed abroad worldwide.
MATTHEW H. FUJITA,

Dr. Matthew H. Fujita, PT, DPT, OCS, is a Southern California native, physical therapist, and orthopedic clinical specialist with a lifelong passion for empowering athletes and fostering personal growth through sports. A former scholarship soccer player, Matthew earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Kinesiology from California State University, San Bernardino, followed by a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Azusa Pacific University. His dedication to advancing sports medicine and athlete development led him to found two successful companies: Kinematics Physical Therapy, focused on elite athlete care, and Kinemedix, specializing in large-scale medical event coverage.
Throughout his career, Dr. Fujita has worked with athletes from the NFL, MLB, WNBA, NCAA, and professional soccer leagues, as well as organizations like the Seattle Mariners and Disney. His concierge physical therapy services for professional athletes exemplify his commitment to excellence in injury prevention and rehabilitation. Beyond his professional achievements, Matthew served for five years on staff at Vantage Point Ignite Youth Ministry and has participated in mission trips to Kenya, Africa, Tondo, Philippines, and Ensenada, Mexico, demonstrating his dedication to service and global outreach.
As Co-CEO of United Sports Abroad, Matthew brings a wealth of expertise and an unwavering commitment to enriching the lives of young athletes worldwide. His belief in the transformative power of sports fuels his mission to inspire youth to discover their passions, build resilience, and achieve greatness both on and off the field.
Matthew resides in Southern California with his wife and three sons. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer, bodybuilding, traveling, reading leadership books, playing the ukulele, and serving his community. His life’s mission is to leave a lasting legacy of service, leadership, and impact.
